How to Add Product Questions and Answers to WooCommerce

Shoppers ask practical questions before they buy — about shipping, returns, sizing, and more. Answering those questions directly on the product page helps customers decide and reduces repetitive pre-sale messages. This guide shows a simple way to add structured product questions and answers to WooCommerce.

The problem

The buying details customers care about are often scattered across the description, a policy page, or missing entirely. When a shopper cannot find an answer quickly, they either ask support or leave. Neither is ideal at the moment someone is ready to buy.

WooCommerce does not focus on structured product Q&A by default

WooCommerce gives you a product description and a tabs area, but it does not include a dedicated, structured question-and-answer section out of the box. You can add questions into the description by hand, but that is hard to maintain and easy to let drift out of date — especially across many products.

A simple workflow with DreamFast Product Answers

DreamFast Product Answers adds a structured Q&A section to your WooCommerce products. After installing and activating the plugin (WooCommerce must be active), you can add answers at three levels.

1. Add product-level answers

Open a product and add the questions and answers specific to it — the ones that only apply to that item, such as its exact fit, materials, or compatibility.

2. Add category answers

For questions shared across a group of products, add them at the category level. You write them once, and they appear on every product in that category.

3. Add global store answers

For the essentials that apply everywhere — shipping, returns, payment — add store-wide answers so they show on every product page automatically.

Example questions you can add

Not sure where to start? These are common questions worth answering on most stores:

  • Shipping — How long does delivery take, and where do you ship?
  • Returns — What is the return window, and who pays return shipping?
  • Sizing — Does this run true to size, and is there a size guide?
  • Materials — What is it made of, or what are the key ingredients?
  • Compatibility — What does this work with?
  • Warranty — Is it covered, and for how long?

Check the front-end accordion

Open one of your products on the storefront and confirm the answers appear in the accordion. Expand a few to check the wording reads well. If you need to place the section in a specific spot, you can also use the [df_product_answers] shortcode.

It is a good idea to test on a staging product first, then review it on both desktop and mobile.
